The Reolink PoE switch provides a reliable Power over Ethernet solution, featuring 8 PoE ports (10/100Mbps) and 2 Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports (10/100/1000Mbps). Compliant with IEEE802.3af/at standard, it can deliver up to 30W for each PoE port and has a total power budget of 120W for up to 8 PoE devices.
This PoE switch includes an intelligent power management mechanism. When the total allocated power exceeds the 120W power budget, the lower priority PoE port will be powered off one by one until the total power is below the threshold that the PoE switch can supply. This ensures the high priority PoE port's power supply and protects the devices from power overload.
The PoE switch automatically detects whether the connected device is a PoE device and whether it needs to be powered. To avoid damage, it will not supply power to non-PoE devices.
Setting up the Reolink RLA-PS1 PoE switch is a straightforward "plug and play" process, even for beginners. You can mount the PoE switch on the wall or place it on a desktop, making it a versatile solution for various environments.
The PoE switch can be directly connected to your NVR for higher reliability and security, or it can be connected to the same LAN as your NVR to support more features of your cameras. If you don't have an NVR, you can also connect your PoE camera and router directly through the PoE switch.

The maximum PoE distance between the Reolink PoE cameras and the switch is 100 meters for data and power transmission, whether using IEEE 802.3af (PoE) or 802.3at (PoE+).
